This pre-emergent treatment involves blanket spraying your grass by a licensed technician certified for the job. Pre-emergents do not prevent all the weeds, which is why our next round is so important for our climate.

ROUND 2

applications are done mid-March into the first week in April and is an extremely important app, as we apply the second of the spring pre-emergent but add a post-emergent to clean up any weeds that weathered Round #1. We also add a starter fertilizer with iron to give your turf a jumpstart to perfection.

ROUND 3

starts in mid-April into early May and is an excellent granular fertilizer that has time release qualities necessary for southern lawns. This is the first of three granular fertilizer rounds that are timed to keep your lawn green and healthy for the duration of the growing season. During this application, broadleaf weeds are spot sprayed to make your turf beautiful and green.

ROUND 4

is our application that takes place in late May into June. This application gives your grass the nutrients it needs to contain that lush green look during those hot summer months. We also spot spray broadleaf weeds. This round is super important to keeping your yard lush and weed-free.

ROUND 5

is our last fertilizer application for the season. This application gives the turf a boost of nutrients to keep it healthy and green throughout the hot months of July and August. Spot spraying broadleaf weeds during this time is also included in round 5.

ROUND 6

is the first half of the pre-emergent that targets the prevention of winter and next spring weeds, with emphasis on Poa Annua, an annual bluegrass that is a major problem in the southeast. This happens even while it is still “summer hot” so as not to get caught off guard when soil temperatures can cool down at a moment’s notice. We begin the application in late August and on into September.

takes place late October and into November and is the second half of the fall pre-emergent with a simazine to clean up any “Poa” that weathered the previous application. All this is to achieve a winter lawn that is a seasonal beige color and a break from lawn mowing through the winter.
